There is an Italian restaurant that I always want to eat at when I go to Kyoto.
There is a restaurant that is highly acclaimed by that discerning Kyoto chef and Muromachi area husbandman.
A local gourmet friend told me about it and I visited last fall.
I was looking forward to visiting again this summer.
The restaurant is…
Ristorante Noro” is located near Nijo Castle in the Shinsen-en area….
The chef’s name is Kazumi Noro.
I love his menu, which is basically Italian, but also incorporates elements of Japanese Western cuisine…
I love the “Menchikatsu” which is a staple here, as well as the pasta and salads that skillfully use Kyoto vegetables….
The cosmopolitan atmosphere and the flexibility of the run menu make it a place that even women will always want to go back to.
I am planning to go again next month.
Please make reservations in advance.
Lunch is pretty much always full…
