Go to “Bon fan” for a casual and easy French meal.

A friend of mine came from Taiwan, so he and I visited “Bistro Bon Fan” in Tameike-Sanno, which we first visited….

The chef here is Mr. Tsutomu Tomiyama, who was trained by the late Chef Asahi Inoue of Chez Ino. (I heard he was said to look like Mike Tyson when he was young.)

A restaurant-like restaurant in a house nestled in a vineyard in the French countryside…

The restaurant is located in a valley surrounded by buildings in Tameike-Sanno, in the middle of the big city of Tokyo.

The interior of the restaurant, with its high, beamed ceiling, is French style, and unlike today’s izakaya bistros, it has a traditional atmosphere that is very relaxing.

Today, I had two of my favorite dishes, “Saul Meuniere Bon Fan Style” and “Cabbage Rolls in Red Wine with Chusei Aged Meat”.

These two specialties, fish and meat, are what I came here to eat.

They are always delicious!

Consistent taste…

Finally, we chose a dessert brought by a wagon…

This is my favorite French restaurant that serves desserts on a real wagon, so even if it is not a grand maison from the name of bistro, it has enough quality to be my favorite French restaurant!

We had a great time talking business!

Thank you for everything.

Chef Tomiyama

Thank you!
